RealPage is a technology company that offers landlords several different property management services. One of those services is producing tenant screening reports to assist landlords with evaluating rental applications. 

The California Attorney General’s Office entered into a stipulated judgment with RealPage resolving its investigation into RealPage’s alleged violation of California laws that prohibit using COVID-related debt as a negative factor in tenant screening. The California Attorney General’s investigation identified you as somebody who may have had a rental application denied based on COVID-related debt. No. This is a stipulated judgment resolving a law-enforcement action by the California Attorney General’s Office. A number of consumers are receiving restitution checks as a result of this stipulated judgment, but it is not a class action settlement.
